@ Heartnet I am too old to be bothered by being called a fanboy. But I do work in the quality assurance field as my profession. Engineers can only design, and foresee so much. Some of it does fall to the end user. It's kind of like people who blame a product for causing damage, or injury even though they were using it not for it intended purpose. They give you (for the sake of argument, and not knowing the actual cap amount) unlimited saves to use whenever and wherever you want. So, why i...
Well like I said. MY gaming experience. It sounds like most of the problems are because people didn't carry enough saves through the game. In a game where you can save at any point, and have more than 25 save files, there is no excuse to have to start over from the beginning. Unless you were relying on the game to auto save, and you go hours between them. I have never had to restart any Bethesda game, and yes I have hit the hard stop bugs in them too. I just went back to a save from 15 mi...
You are correct to a point. In the first week of release a game can build up tens of thousands of man hours in game-play. They can only do their best and de-bug as much as possible in the window allotted. Unfortunately it is part of the system, we become the testers in real world situations. Given their reputation for game quality, and their rapid patching (within reason) I can't complain. I'll be buying it day one, and "helping" de-bug one of my favorite franchises. It has ...
I hate.... let me rephrase that. I HATE Boss battles. They take the momentum right out of the game. But I still can't wait for tomorrow.
Nice article. Deus Ex was one of the first games I played that was like it. After it, I was hard pressed to find a game that held my interest. But then I discovered System Shock II and The Thief series. We need more games like that in todays market. FPS core, but RPG/Stealth outerlayer. Tuesday can't come quick enough.
Well Duh!
This game has shaped up to become one I can't wait to play. The extra time used during the delayed release sounds like it was worth it. It is nice to see a developer care about quality, and not shovel out a broken game only to patch all the holes months after the core players finished the game.
I was a bit disappointed by GT5 last year. Between the non-premium cars, to the gt4ish driver AI... ETC.... It sounds like turn 10 is really taking things to the next level. Plus, the game designer in the video is personable, and really cares about the fans. GT5's creator is kind of aloof, and does what HE wants, and thinks we want. I think I am going to really enjoy this new outing from turn 10.
I'll be picking these up. But how come it is windy in the briefing room?
No. It's pc. Did you notice the reload prompts? They are keyboard controls.
For once I have to agree with the N4G mob. This does not look too impressive. Looks like last generation to me. But If you like that kind of gameplay that serious sam offers than I guess it would be fun. I am 50/50 with it. I would play it if it was cheep enough.
So I am not very smart? It sounds like you don't mind giving your money to game stop, or some other store. Instead of putting it in the pockets of the developers. Thats fine. We are all entitled our opinion. But being in the entertainment "business" I can understand intellectual property, and what it means to me, the creator. It is great that people buy the games at all, new or used. But used does not count towards the developer, just the seller. And it also doesn't get coun...
I don't understand why there is even an issue. If you buy the game new (so THEY get thier cut, and not a box store) then you get the content. If you buy it used, and give your money to game stop etc... then you don't get the content. It is simple economics, and business. I have no problem with it. All they are asking is for $10 to go in thier pocket for designing and creating the game (if you buy used) It seems fair.
The list lost all credit once Half Life 2 was mentioned.
I have been thinking of copywritting, and trademarking the Alphabet. I hear it is still available.
Really? So I guess game play isn't important. As long the game looks good, it can be shit other wise. It is funny how disagrees happen, but no comments, or replies. Lets have it up for the nameless, faceless, internet trolls living in the basements of the world. In the real world most of you trolls wouldn't have the internal fortitude to even look me in the eye and disagree, or have a civil debate. But here on line where you are supermen, you have the loudest voice. Cowards.
Does it really matter? Of course the PC will look better. What id. is saying is that the games will play the same. At the end of the day thats what counts. I don't have a gaming PC so I'll be enjoying it on my console of choice.
This looks better and better every time they show us new stuff. I can't wait to get my hands on it.
Thats the exact opposite of the idea. I guess it won't be for you then.
Done! Good deal. Thanks for the heads up.
